Adrian Bult studied business administration and marketing at the University of St. Gallen (lic. oec. HSG). From 1984 to 1997 he held several national and international sales positions with IBM and served as a member of the Executive Board of IBM Switzerland. Until 1998 he was Head of Information Technology at Telecom PTT, after which he joined the Group Executive Board of Swisscom, first as CIO, then as CEO of Swisscom Fixnet and finally as CEO of Swisscom Mobile. From 2007 to 2012 Adrian R. Bult was a member of the Executive Board and also a shareholder of COO Avaloq Evolution AG. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Swissgrid AG and also sits on the boards of directors of several other companies, including Swissquote AG and Regent Beleuchtungskörper AG. Adrian R. Bult is married and has one daughter.
