About

Agri-Business Incubator of ICRISAT (ABI-ICRISAT) was created in 2003 by ICRISAT with support of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India under its NSTEDB-Technology Business Incubator (TBI) scheme with a vision of supporting innovative technology-backed ag-tech start-up and agribusiness solutions for solving dryland agricultural challenges. The incubator is part of the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), an international agricultural research for development organization that works towards improving the livelihood of smallholder farmers and rural communities in the dryland tropics of Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, and is located at Patancheru, near Hyderabad in Telangana. The incubator is part of the Agribusiness & Innovation Platform of ICRISAT, that also comprises of three other programs: Innovation & Partnership, NutriPlus Knowledge, and IP Facilitation Cell.
