Head of all social media at Bauer Media UK, Akhil Suchak has worked with a number of global brands to raise awareness and engagement levels online. Suchak was brought in earlier this year as part of a series of new senior appointments to strengthen its digital division, Xcel Media. In his new role, Suchak will work closely with senior management across all Bauer brands, which includes Kerrang!, Empire, Grazia, Magic and Kiss, to identify business opportunities and lead on strategic expansion in the social media space. Suchak said: “Bauer’s focus on digital and social gives me the chance to work on some incredible brands, opening up new opportunities and accelerating growth.” Suchak joins the media group from Viacom International Media Networks, where he led social media across the company’s entertainment brands in the UK, including MTV and Comedy Central.
