About
Alain is responsible for leading the CPP Investment Board in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Based in London, England, Alain covers all aspects of CPPIB’s mandate, including our European advisory relationships, and provides active leadership and coordination of our activities in these markets. Alain has been based in London since 1998 and has more than 23 years of financial industry experience. Prior to joining CPPIB, he was most recently Managing Director at Goldman Sachs & Co. in their Investment Banking division in New York and London. Prior to that, he was an Associate at the New York-based law firm, Sullivan & Cromwell. Alain holds a Bachelor of Law from Laval University in Quebec City, a Masters in Law (D.E.S.S.) from the Sorbonne in Paris and a Masters in Law from Columbia University.
