Albert (Al) J. Mitchell

About

Al began his career with the legacy Monsanto Company in 1984 and assumed the role of Monsanto Fund President in March 2016. After the acquisition of Monsanto by Bayer in 2018, Al assumed leadership of Bayer’s full philanthropic portfolio, now known as Bayer Fund. He also serves as Bayer’s Vice President of Community Relations. Al’s past roles include Assistant Controller; General Auditor; VP of Finance - North America & Latin America North Division; Senior Director, Finance – U.S. Crop Production Business; and Director, Finance – Animal Agriculture Business. He received a degree in Accounting from Michigan State University. Al is a native St. Louisan and major sports fan. He and his wife Marsha currently reside in Florissant with their son, Julian, and daughter, Teá.
