Dr. Alexandra Matzke-Ogi is one of the co-founders of amcure and Head of Exploratory Research. As a postdoctoral fellow and PhD candidate, she worked on CD44v6 blocking agents at the Institute of Toxikology and Genetics (ITG) at KIT. She developed the CD44v6 blocking peptides and characterized their inhibitory effects in cancer, which forms the basis of amcure’s R&D activities. As project leader Dr. Matzke-Ogi was in charge of several innovation projects on the development of CD44v6 blocking agents towards therapeutic use funded by the Helmholtz Society and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi).
