Andrew Hennessy is a Principal at Ekistic Ventures, overseeing management of portfolio companies to help guide them through their formative years. Before starting with Ekistic Ventures, Andrew spent two years working with small businesses, operating a Fin-Tech focused public relations firm and completing investment research at Roniin, a Chicago-based venture capital firm focused on very early-stage companies. During this time, Andrew also participated in Chicago Booth’s New Venture Challenge accelerator program. Andrew’s career began in the trading industry by supporting a handful of traders in the pits of the Chicago Board of Trade before spending three years at Citadel Investment Group. He then served on BP’s Integrated Supply and Trading floor with the Marine Fuels team, managing sales and operations for international shipping clients transiting the Panama Canal. Andrew earned his MBA in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship from The University of Chicago Booth School of Busi
