Andy is the firm’s chief information security officer and head of Technology Risk, both globally and for Goldman Sachs Bank USA. He is chair of the Engineering Risk Committee and a member of the Firmwide Technology Risk Committee, Vendor Management Operating Committee and Firmwide Consumer Servicing Vendor Management Committee. Andy joined the firm as a managing director in 2017 and was named partner in 2018. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Andy served as assistant secretary for cybersecurity at the US Department of Homeland Security. There, he led a billion-dollar organization that protected the government against cyber attacks and helped the private sector protect itself. During his tenure, his teams responded to the intrusion at the US Office of Personnel Management and separately traveled to Ukraine to better understand and share information about the cyber attack that turned off power to more than 200,000 customers.
