Andrew founded Altas Partners following a long career with Onex Corporation, a leading North American private equity firm. During Andrew’s 17-year tenure with the firm, Onex grew from approximately $500 million of capital to more than $14 billion, and its investment team expanded from 7 professionals to 55. As a Managing Director, Andrew co-led the establishment of Onex Partners (Onex’ large cap private equity platform) in 2001 and oversaw its other investing platforms, including ONCAP (one of the best-performing mid-cap private equity groups in North America), Onex Credit Partners (which has been built into a $5 billion credit platform), and Onex Real Estate. Andrew worked at McKinsey & Company and a private family business prior to joining Onex Corporation in 1995. Andrew was educated at McGill University (Bachelor of Commerce, Gold Medalist) and Harvard University (MBA).
