Andy joined the venture capital firm Kakao Ventures in 2017. His areas of focus include but are not limited to computer systems, consumer internet services, machine learning, and blockchain. Before coming to Kakao Ventures, Andy was a software engineer across various industries, including high-frequency trading, mobile payments, digital media, and e-commerce. He was also a researcher in Human-Computer Interaction with awards for high academic achievements, and his graduate degree covered topics from Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. Andy earned his BS and MS degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University with University Honors and College Honors. He is currently responsible for working with startups across Asia and the United States. * Kakao Ventures changed its name from K Cube Ventures in Mar 2018.
