About
As a PhD student and research assistant in the Responsive Environments group at the Media Lab, I design and prototype aerospace structures with embedded sensor networks. My current research explores self-assembly protocols in zero gravity, particularly opportunities to fabricate space-based habitation structures. As Founder and Lead of the Media Lab's Space Exploration Initiative, I coordinate space research opportunities across the spectrum of science, engineering, art and design and support collaborations on this work throughout MIT. Previously, in the Viral Communications group at the Media Lab, I researched and prototyped technologies that "scale with user inventiveness". My projects explored digital currencies, applications for blockchain (Bitcoin’s cryptographic protocol), and decentralized networks.
