Augustin Sayer

Augustin Sayer is a General Partner at OVNI Capital, a VC seed fund specializing in France-based tech startups. He is based in Paris and manages the company's investments in France and Israel. Previously he was a Partner at Newfund, a french-american fund where he oversaw 20 investments in companies such as FairMoney, the largest African neo-bank, and Umiami, a plant-based texture technology company. Augustin started his career in 2008 at Lazard Frères in their Mergers & Acquisitions team in New York. He then joined Colony Capital in their investment team. In 2015, he moved to Mexico to start Rescata, a chain of phone repair stores, and from 2017 until late 2022 was at Newfund.
