About
One of the best-known technology entrepreneurs in the UK, Ben has co-founded three businesses (RBR Networks, Star and MessageLabs) turning them all into market leaders each with revenues in excess of $100M and a combined value creation of nearly $1 billion. Star was founded in 1995 as one of the UK’s first ISP’s and MessageLabs in 2000 as the first company in the world to deliver anti-virus and anti-spam in the cloud. In 2008, MessageLabs was acquired by Symantec for $700M and, at this time, Ben stepped down from the board to devote his time to Notion Capital. He frequently speaks at industry events about building businesses and disrupting industries and was recognised by the European Technology Forum’s UK Technology Innovation & Growth Awards as ‘Technology Entrepreneur of the Year’ for 2005.
