Bernard Chauvin, a private investor, has taken an equity stake in the company alongside two of the existing investors which also contributed to this round of funding: the capital investment company Omnes Capital (formerly Crédit Agricole Private Equity) and the Lyon-based insurer SHAM. Bernard Chauvin is a physician specializing in ophthalmology. He headed the Laboratoires Chauvin for 27 years (until its acquisition by Bausch & Lomb), prior to joining Neurotech, a French biotechnology company where he served as Chief Executive Officer until 2004. Since then, he has taken an active role as a director in the development of a number of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
