Bill is a creative technologist, field philosopher of videogame design, and entrepreneur. Currently he serves as a lecturer at Columbia College Chicago. His practice is embodied philosophy and the notion of a philosopher as performance artist. He philosophizes about organizational knowledge management and learning processes such as Scrum, Constructivist pedagogy, and Lean entrepreneurial methods. Using philosophy he is able to identify solutions to problems of teamwork, design, and technology. He used these methods in the technology industry as a founding team-member on Apple's Quicktime and Newton, 3DO game hardware, and Sony's Playstation. Ethics and serious games is a particular focus, and currently works with Tom Seager at Arizona State on using game theory for situating ethics and sustainability in the classroom.
