Biswajit Subramanian

Bis Subramanian is a managing director based in our New Delhi office and leads the firm's private equity investment activities in Asia (ex China). Mr. Subramanian is currently a director of Aditya Birla Telecom Limited (Indus Towers), Hathway, Idea Cellular and UFO Moviez India (UMI). He joined Providence in 2000 in our London office and established our New Delhi office in 2007. Previously, Mr. Subramanian was a vice president at Morgan Stanley, where he was part of the European telecommunications investment banking team. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Subramanian worked at Credit Suisse First Boston, McKinsey & Company and Intel. He received a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology.
