Brian Liu leads the BizCounsel team. Prior to starting BizCounsel, he developed the concept for LegalZoom (NASDAQ: LZ) in 1999, became its first CEO until 2007, and served as Chairman until 2018. In addition to his work with BizCounsel, Brian manages a real estate investment fund, sits on the board of DaZen Theranostics, a cancer therapy startup, and is an active angel investor. Brian graduated from UCLA School of Law and started his career as an attorney for Sullivan & Cromwell and Oaktree Capital.
