Clint Smith is an experienced general counsel and advisor to start-ups who has additional operating experience in HR, Finance, and Corporate Development. Before joining DataStax, Clint Smith served as general counsel and corporate secretary for MySQL AB and has also headed the legal departments at TrialPay, Inc., Macromedia, Inc. and UUNET Technologies, Inc. He received a B.A. from Pomona College, degrees in law and political science from U.C. Berkeley, and began his career with the Washington D.C. law firm of Steptoe & Johnson LLP. Clint currently serves on the Board of Directors of TrialPay, is an advisor to Comprehend Systems, and has previously served as an advisor to RightScale and Yub.
