Prior to joining 1776, Christian was an investment professional at Gates Ventures, where he focused on venture capital investments in energy, food, agriculture and health. Previously he served as Director at Honeywell, where he was a principal strategic officer for a $1+ billion OEM business unit. Prior to that role, he was a Principal with Novus Energy Partners, a early and growth stage venture capital firm, as well as an investment banker focused on mergers and acquisitions in the energy industry. Christian began his career as an engineer with Boeing Phantom Works, where he worked on R&D projects in areas of next generation spacecraft design and development. Christian holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.
