Christian Ruehmer is Head of Risk and Compliance with Bamboo Capital Partners. Christian has over 20 years experience in banking and has worked in several large international banks, primarily in the areas or Risk Management, Treasury, Credit Portfolio Management, and Investment Management. Christian has worked in various countries including Germany, Mexico, and Spain. For the past years, Christian helped banks navigating through the aftermaths of the financial crisis, including the steering of complex workout and restructuring cases. Over the past 12 years Christian also worked as an expert for Risk Management and Efficiency Management in the Microfinance sector where he advised over 50 MFIs and several international organizations and founded his own consulting company. In 2004 Christian founded Proyecto Horizonte, a community development program in Bolivia, which serves over 800 children and their families with programs in education, health care and community services.
