Clemens von Bergmann has been managing the activities of ALSTIN II together with Carsten Maschmeyer since November 2016. He has many years of expertise as an investor in the venture capital sector as well as operational experience at MD level. From 2014 to 2016, he was a member of the Executive Board and Managing Director of CHECK24, Germany’s largest online comparison portal. Until November 2016, he was responsible there with full P & L responsibility for product development, sales and customer service for a section of the insurance business. From 2005 to 2014, most recently, as investment director and authorized signatory, he was instrumental in setting up the High-Tech Gründerfonds to Germany’s largest and in 2014 also Europe’s most active VC fund for corporate financing in tech startups.
