Creative BC

The provincial government announced that effective April 1, 2013 the programs and services of the B.C. Film Commission and B.C. Film + Media would be combined under one agency; Creative BC. This is an independent agency that is responsible for promoting the development of creative industries in British Columbia and providing a single point of access for industry programming, production support services, tax credit administration, international marketing and policy development. Creative BC brings a strategic and integrated approach to the growth and development of the province's creative industries. They provide professional expertise and business support to strengthen BC's motion picture, interactive digital, music and publishing sectors. Their programs, services and investments act as a catalyst to help these sectors realize their economic and creative potential and contribute to the future prosperity of their province.
