David Joerg

Since joining Two Sigma in 2001, David led a series of software engineering and research efforts, with a focus on automated trading, market microstructure and optimal execution strategy. David started his career in 1994 programming for the NeXT platform, the direct predecessor to today’s OS X and iPhone technologies. After several years at D. E. Shaw & Co, he co-founded Vindigo, an early and successful provider of location services for mobile devices. David’s personal projects focus on the application of data analysis to domains such as real-time strategy games, policy journalism and automated coaching. David graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Computer Science.
