At six feet and five inches, David Robbins is, by far, the tallest member of the Monomoy team but he can’t come close to dunking a basketball. In his day job at Monomoy, David is a Managing Director and responsible for leading our efforts to take significant positions in the debt of middle market businesses that could benefit from operational improvement and financial restructuring. Prior to joining Monomoy, David was a Managing Director at H.I.G. Bayside Capital focused on investing in control and non-control distressed debt and credit opportunities across a range of industries. Prior to H.I.G, he was co-head of the distressed debt investment team at GSC Group, and a junior investment professional in Blackstone’s private equity practice. Throughout his career, David has played a significant role on the Creditor Committees and the Boards of Directors of several public and private corporations.
