From a background of Physics from Columbia University in NYC, Diwank transitioned to computer scientist and software architect, entirely self-taught. He us also a 20under20 Thiel Fellow, where he worked on using machine learning to predict onset of episodes in mood disorder patients. Working in and out of Silicon Valley, Diwank is an entrepreneur with a successful exit from his automated restaurant-ordering platform, Kea, just behind him. His ambition is to generify the NLP technology that was necessary to build Kea. This ambition gave birth to his latest startup, Mauna, of which he is the Co-Founder and CTO.
