Mr. McGregor has over 30 years of technology business experience including executive positions in M&A, private equity, sales, marketing, R&D and operations. Roughly 7 years ago, Rational Equity purchased WebEquity Solutions, a boutique SaaS agriculture lending software system. Under his leadership, Mr. McGregor led the company from a relative unknown to the number one SaaS commercial lending enterprise system in the United States. WebEquity achieved 30%+ CAGR over 7 years, added 500 new bank customers while achieving 40% EBTDA. In July of 2014, WebEquity was purchased by Moody's Corporation for nearly 9 times revenue achieving a gross ROIC of 9x. Prior to Rational Equity, Mr. McGregor led Global Mergers & Acquisitions within SoftBrands, Inc., a $100M public software company. He built SoftBrands M&A practice from conception to over $30M in acquisitions within an 18-month period.
