Doug joined Petra in 2004 and is active in all aspects of the firm's investment origination, structuring, diligence, and portfolio monitoring efforts. Doug began his career in the Investment Banking Group of Wachovia Securities where he participated in public and private company equity raises and merger and acquisition transactions. Doug earned his B.E. in mechanical engineering from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management. Doug works most closely with Petra portfolio companies American Hometown Publishing, HealthTeacher, Mycroft, NuView Systems and T2 Systems.
