Dr. Zhen Gu

About

Dr. Gu received a Ph.D. from UCLA and was a postdoctoral associate at MIT and Harvard Medical School. His current research focuses on controlled drug delivery and biomaterials. He has published over 140 research papers and applied over 50 patents. His Research has been highlighted by Science, Nature, JAMA, TIME, Washington Post and Boston Globe. Dr. Gu is the recipient of the Sloan Research Fellowship (2016), Young Investigator Award from the Controlled Release Society (CRS, 2017), Alcoa Foundation Research Achievement Award (2017), Pathway Award from the American Diabetes Association (ADA, 2015), Young Innovator Award in Cellular and Molecular Engineering from the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES, 2015). MIT Technology Review listed him in 2015 as one of the global top innovators under the age of 35 (TR35). GOOD Magazine listed him in 2016 as one of GOOD 100- “100 individuals who are improving the world through creativity and innovation”.
