Emre Berkin currently serves as the Vice President of Europe Middle East & Africa at Microsoft Corp. Berkin has a strong background in managing and developing company strategies in the IT sector and has overall responsibility of 79 countries. Mr. Berkin is credited with accelerating the growth and expansion of Microsoft’s operations in Middle East and Africa (MEA) operations. Besides his commitment to the development and deployment of IT, Mr. Berkin has a strong passion for education in the developing markets. He is personally leading Touch Group Plc’s community affairs efforts through which Microsoft has contributed to various community activities improving education and helping under privileged people in the region over the years. Mr. Berkin serves as the Chairman of Microsoft’s Middle East and Africa (MEA) operations. He has been an Independent Non-Executive Director at Thomas Cook Group plc since November 1, 2012.
