Erik Akhund is the managing director and investment officer of Quadrant Capital Advisors, Inc., which participated in Melinta’s Series 3 round of financing in 2014. At Quadrant, he is responsible for the origination of and investment in a range of investments in private equity funds and direct investments. His investments have been in the areas of energy and power, utilities, real estate, media, internet, manufacturing, biotech, and consumer goods. Prior to joining Quadrant, Mr. Akhund was engaged in principal or senior management positions with early stage private companies, investment banks and venture capital firms. Mr. Akhund started his career with Bankers Trust Corporation in 1983. Mr. Akhund received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering and a Master of International Affairs in international banking and finance from Columbia University.
