Erik is a seasoned executive with domestic and international leadership experience in engineering, product development, multi-channel distribution, sales and marketing, operations, and domestic and international regulatory policy. He has been instrumental in defining new markets in advanced vehicle communications, usage-based insurance, fleet telematics and mobile personal safety. His leadership experience ranges from start-ups to Fortune 50s, including leading the creation of Enterprise B2B, Consumer B2C, and Direct-to-Consumer lines of subscription businesses. Prior to sfara, Erik was Group President of Verizon Telematics, an industry-leading company he co-founded in 2006 as Hughes Telematics, growing it to over 1000 employees and $250M in revenue. In the early years of his career Erik was a design engineer for Raytheon and Mitre Corporation with a particular focus on advanced communication systems.
