excelerateAFRICA is the first Silicon Valley-based, Africa-focused technology venture accelerator. They help insanely bright technologist working on big ideas for Africa. Founders can be based anywhere in the world, but must attend the incubator in Silicon Valley. It is not a requirement to be from Africa, but you must have Africa in your heart. They believe that game changing technologies built for Africa, can scale all over the world. They are focused on all things mobile, and only on things mobile. It would be helpful if you have developed a minimal viable product, as they want to accelerate you to revenue as quickly as possible. They have a preference for consumer businesses, but will consider interesting enterprise products. They also prefer non-ad based revenue models, but if you can convince us otherwise, they will listen. They do not invest in lion parks, safaris lodges or elephant riding ventures, but they can introduce you to some great people who do.
