About

Fondaco SGR is an independent asset management company. Its name originates in the Middle Ages: it represented the buildings that served as a warehouse, as a place for the custody of treasures and as accommodation for foreign merchants in maritime cities. Our logo wants to recall the arches of the vaults of those warehouses. The protection of assets built over the centuries and intended for social or collective purposes is our mission. This sentence contains two cornerstones of our philosophy: the long term and the understanding and protection of investors' objectives. The company was established in 2002 with a share capital of five million euros by the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, the Cassa di Risparmio di Padova and Rovigo Foundation, the Cassa di Risparmio di Bologna Foundation and Ersel Finanziaria SpA;
