Years of involvement in expansion issues from an investor, lender, and executive point-of-view, Fred supports entrepreneurs by helping them build effective sales organizations and navigate complex management and financial decisions. Fred developed his distinctive leadership perspective through a career in commercial banking as well as service in the U.S. Navy. Following graduation from Yale with a degree in economics, he joined the Reserve Officer Training Corps during the Vietnam War and quickly earned “Officer of the Deck” certification and Lieutenant ranking. Upon completing his Navy service, he earned an MBA with a concentration in finance from Harvard Business School and entered banking, where he established a reputation for leading high-growth commercial lending units at the Northeast’s leading institutions. His business development success at First National City Bank (now Citibank) and U.S. Trust Company in New York caught the attention of Boston’s State Street Bank & Trust Co
