Frontenac Company is a Chicago-based private investment firm founded in 1971. We are currently investing from our tenth equity fund. We invest in high-quality, closely-held companies, primarily in services industries. We work with the owners of mid-sized businesses, almost always families or founders, as they address complex transition issues of liquidity, management enhancement, and growth planning. We have been involved with over 200 ownership transitions in closely-held companies. Through our CEO1ST approach, we partner with proven operating executives to grow these successful, mid-sized companies.
