Gaétan Morin has worked at the Fonds de solidarité FTQ since 1989. Prior to his position as Executive Vice-President, Corporate Development and Investment, he held the following positions, successively: Financial Adviser, Portfolio Manager, Director of Investments, and Senior Vice-President, Natural Resources and Consumer Goods. During the time he was in charge of the Fonds’ investment activities, the number of the organization’s partners increased from 1,681 in 2006 to 2,395 in 2014. Moreover, the development capital rose to $6 billion in 2013, from $3 billion in 2006. He also participated in implementing solutions to support several flagship Québec companies during the liquidity crisis in 2008. In addition to participating in the development of Teralys Capital, Gaétan Morin took part in setting up the Fonds Valorisation Bois and the Fonds Capital Culture Québec.
