Geoffrey T. Barker is Executive Director and a co-founder of RPX Corp, and served as its Chief Operating Officer until mid-2012. Prior to co-founding RPX, Geoffrey Barker was Vice President, Licensing at Intellectual Ventures, where he and Geoffrey Amster shared responsibility for the portfolio development and licensing strategy of IV’s software portfolio. Previously, Geoffrey Barker served as founder, Chairman and CEO of Vigilos, Inc., which provides a platform for controlling and managing the physical security systems of large enterprises. Prior to founding Vigilos, Geoffrey Barker was co-founder and co-CEO of The Cobalt Group and held positions in trading, research and investment banking with Kidder, Peabody & Company, Salomon Brothers Inc, and Piper Jaffray Incorporated. Geoffrey Barker holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BA from Tufts University.
