About
Gloria Mamba joined GEF in 2012 and is a Managing Director based in GEF’s Johannesburg, South Africa office. She is responsible for deal sourcing, execution and monitoring of investments in clean energy and resource productivity across the continent. Prior to joining GEF, Ms. Mamba was with the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) where she was Divisional Executive – Investment Banking with primary responsibility for the monitoring and management of R15 billion (approximately US$2 billion) assets, predominantly in energy, telecommunications and transport. She also served as a member of the Bank’s Executive Committee. Prior to that role, she was Head – Private Equity where she developed the investment strategy, led transactions and managed the portfolio. Prior to DBSA, she was with a Blue Catalyst and the Southern Africa Enterprise Development Fund.
