Prior to co-founding GenTrust, Mr. Socarras worked at Merrill Lynch for over 10 years as a Financial Advisor to several ultra-high net worth clients. During that time his main focus was on investment selection and risk management of client portfolios. Mr. Socarras manages several of GenTrust’s largest client relationships in the Entertainment and Sports Industry, with a unique focus in the Latino Market. In that role, he works closely with clients and members of the investment team in order to develop and oversee the effective implementation of a fully customized financial plan. Mr. Socarras also works closely with and leverages the services provided by many of the firm’s independent service partners to ensure our clients always receive consistent and exceptional service. Mr. Socarras graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
