Ian co-founded Innovation Capital in 1999 and is a General Partner of the firm. He commenced his private equity career in 1969. Since then, Ian has played a founding or lead role with several US venture capital firms. During his private equity career, Ian has been an investor in, and assisted in the building of many companies, over 30 of which have listed on NASDAQ. Among these companies are Lifescan, Stratacom, Ventana (NASDAQ:VMSI) and Neogen (NASDAQ: NEOG). Ian has experience in a broad range of technology areas across different stages of the investment cycle. His expertise spans the areas of biotechnology, medical products and services, IT and telecom. He is an Australian Public Accountant. Ian holds a BEc in accounting from Sydney University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
