Sonderby runs his own investment company, Zoar Invest, which is a long term investor in start-ups as well as more conventional companies. Zoar Invest was the first outside investor in Asetek back in 2000. Former employers include A/S Bjornskov and Co. Stockbrokers where he served as CEO and A. P. Moller Maersk. Currently, he serves as Chairman in eight companies and board member in a number of other companies in Europe, Asia and Africa. Mr. Sonderby holds a HD Business Administration, Finance and Accounting degree from Copenhagen Business School. Mr. Sonderby is a Danish citizen and resides in Denmark.
