Mr. Makov is Chairman of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited; Given Imaging; BioLight Israeli Life Sciences Investments Ltd.; Micromedic Technologies Ltd. & Eltav. He is also former Chairman of Netafim and former President & CEO of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. Mr. Makov led Teva's global expansion and under his leadership the company became the undisputed global leader in the generic pharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining Teva, Mr. Makov led a number of companies in numerous industries, and founded Israel’s first biotech company, Interpharm, which went public in the US. Mr. Makov is a member of the Board of Directors of the Israel National Nanotechnology Initiative, which he also helped found.
