Mr. Shields brings a wealth of experience in the computer industry to BCV. At Digital Equipment Corporation he was among the first 100 employees and held positions ranging from field engineer to senior vice president over a period of 28 years. His job responsibilities included overseeing the sales, services, marketing and international divisions within Digital with 70,000 employees reporting to him. In 1990, Mr. Shields joined Computervision where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer. During his tenure at Computervision, Mr. Shields redirected the company's strategy, reduced its debt by $860 million and successfully relaunched Computervision as a public company.
