James Czirr is a biotech entrepreneur and hedge fund manager from Sandpoint, Idaho. Czirr co-founded (with Rod Martin) and is manager and general partner of 10X Fund, L.P.. In 2000 he co-founded Galectin Therapeutics (formerly Pro-Pharmaceuticals), where he currently serves as Executive Chairman; he also was instrumental in the early-stage development of Safe Science Inc., a developer of anti-cancer drugs. From 2005 to 2008, Mr. Czirr was Chief Executive Officer of Minerva Biotechnologies Corporation, a developer of nano particle bio chips to determine the cause of solid tumors. He has also been a consultant to Metalline Mining Company Inc. (NYSE Amex: MMG), now known as Silver Bull Resources, Inc., a mineral exploration company seeking to become a low-cost producer of zinc. A member of the Council for National Policy and of the board of directors of The Vanguard Project, Czirr received a B.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
