James Jin

James Jin is a General Partner at Ventech China. He has ten years experience in venture capital investment and M&A practice. Since James was born and raised in China, he also possesses an extensive network and strong understanding of the Chinese market and entrepreneurial environment. James lived 9 years in the US before coming back to Shanghai in 2004. He co-founded the CMHJ China fund, a venture capital fund with investment focus on early stage technology companies, and Hidden Jade Capital, an M&A advisory firm which closed more than $200 million transactionvolume (including SJI and Sinocom HK00299) in two years. Previously, James was general manager of Opentel Communications, Inc, a telecom startup based in San Francisco, which was sold to a private equity firm in 2002. Before coming to the US in 1995, James was a Marketing Executive at Eastman Kodak China based in Shanghai, in charge of five business units..
