James Nahirny is a Managing Director and Founding Partner of Bain Capital Ventures. Prior to founding Bain Capital Ventures in 2000, James Nahirny was a Partner at McKinsey & Company. At McKinsey, he worked closely with the senior management and boards of his clients on a broad range of strategic and operations issues. He previously worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of First Boston in both New York and Tokyo. In addition to his firm and portfolio company responsibilities, James Nahirny serves on several community and industry boards, including Children's Hospital Boston Board of Overseers, New England Venture Capital Association, and Yale Entrepreneurial Society. James Nahirny received an MBA with High Distinction from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar, and a BA magna cum laude from Yale University.
