Jan Stumpf is Head of Architecture for the drone segment at Intel Corporation and CEO of Ascending Technologies, a leading company in the drone development and manufacturing space. In February 2016, Ascending Technologies was acquired by Intel, shifting his role to focus on strategy, architecture and key customer relationships as a part of Intel’s Drone Team. As one of world’s first and most innovative multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) companies, Ascending Technologies became a leading supplier of high-end commercial, professional and research UAVs. As one of the founders, he led company growth, focusing on engineering, management and acting as the main point of contact of key partners – which included Intel. As a licensed UAV pilot and private pilot, he uses his experience in aviation and drones as a consultant focusing on UAV regulation and danger assessment.
