Dr. Jason Prapas is CTO and co-founder of FACTOR[e] Ventures. In his role at FACTOR[e], he leads the company’s technology assessment and derisking activities. This includes a range of functions from techno-economic modeling to product development to engineering management. He also serves as the Director of India Operations, which is aimed at growing a pipeline of impact opportunities in India while also accelerating manufacturing for FACTOR[e]’s global portfolio. Jason has been working in energy R&D for over a decade. His experiences in research laboratories and startup companies span a diverse array of topics including algae biofuels, advanced composite materials, and thermo-mechanical devices for the energy poor. As part of his doctoral work, Jason invented clean cooking technologies that are now being commercially distributed around the world.
