In 1998, after Jay Schwartz graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA degree in Political Science, Schwartz was inducted into the the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. Four years later, after graduating in the top third of his class with a JD degree from Wayne State University of Law, Schwartz was admitted to the US District Court Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan and the Michigan State Bar Association. Academically and throughout his career as an attorney, Jay A Schwartz has always taken an active role in matters pertaining to the law. One of Jay's first positions in the legal area was an internship with Dennis W. Archer, Supreme Court Justice. Jay A. Schwartz also had clerkships with major local legal firms.
