Jean-Philippe GENDRE joined the team in December 2003, to set up the Emertec 2 fund, for which he is currently responsible. Jean-Philippe has a degree in engineering (SUPELEC), complemented by an MBA from INSEAD. He began his career with Gemini in 1989, where he was an engineer and then a project leader for four years. After a year at INSEAD (MBA) in 1994, he joined MOTOROLA Semiconductor Products, where he was in charge of marketing for ”Power and Analog” products for automotive vendors in Europe. During his three years at Motorola, he was in charge of a multi- disciplinary team (design, applications, marketing and product engineers), his role was to develop new products working together with customers, put them into production and monitor production yields. In 1997, he joined DUPONT PHOTOMASKS Inc. (the world leader in photomasks manufacturing for the semi-conductor industry).
